For once, Adam was in his human form. With his hands in his pockets and his head in the clouds, he seemed to walk like a zombie. He bumped into a few people, but couldn't care less. Finally finding a bench, he sat down to think things through. Okay. Meet a hot girl. Piss her off. Get nabbed by the EF. Escape. Feel like hurling. What a great way to spend the weekend, Adam! his mind scolded him. He sighed and rested his elbows on his knees, his face in his hands. He heard people moving around. Laughter. Jokes. Happiness. All around him everyone seemed to be happy. But not Adam. Nope. Miserable as ever. He didn't mean anything that he said to her. He was just frusterated and he had made a huge mistake. He kissed her. How big of an idiot are you, Adam!? his mind yelled at him. Adam mentally punched himself in the face.

Downing Park, the sound of laughter and children running around; their parents talking while watching them. Teens walk in their little groups, just hanging out because school was over. Jisa's eyes close as she meanders through the park- just listening. Birds twitter and sing in the golden sunshine that made their lives easier. The odd car whizzes past, adding to the slight breeze that rustles the newly bloomed flowers and leaves on the trees. It's not hard to guess what season it is. Though the sun is out it's still a little cold, especially to the very thin Shifter. Her haunted and cloudy, grey as ice with a touch of ocean blue eyes open again. The black haired eighteen year old didn't know what to do. Her life had fell away from her and left her with nothing, and not for the first time either. Really and truly this little cycle was getting tiresome. Let's go over the basics: Jisa's got no one- they all seem to have just disappeared-, everything's just changed and unfamiliar, and Ace... well it's apparent that he's gone. Left in the dust once again. Shaking her head the tall girl keeps on walking. Ever since that one day, and then a whole bunch of mistakes afterwards, this is what had been happening. Why did I ever have to trust any of them? God, I should know by now to listen to Roul. Jisa told herself firmly, and then the inevitable came to mind. But where is Roul? It doesn't matter, a cold wind pushes into her face. Just give it all up, forget them. Remember before that. The truth is, it doesn't seem that there was any before that.

He sniffed the air as a wonderful aroma came into the atmosphere. His head jerked up and he looked around. Adam stood tall and followed the smell with his grizzly bear sense of smell and found Jisa. He froze in his tracks and just stared. Was that really her and, upset it seemed. Probably because of that Ace character. He sighed and walked up to her. "Jisa. I'm really sorry about what I said. I didn't mean it. I was just. . . angry, I guess is the word." he sighed again. "But hey, other than that, are you okay?" he asked her softly, trying to comfort her.

The scents of many humans filled Jisa's nose, everything felt so rushed and pressured. Her black anorak was hugged around her, her arms over her chest. Eyes that had progressively grown more icey and sharp sweeped her surroundings. Tugs pulled at the corners of her heart as she saw the children, their parents, love. Quickly averting her gaze, Jisa carried on. That was until a familiar voice jerked her attention, not a voice she wanted to hear at that particular moment. Her body spun to face him, sharp anger flaring in her eyes.
"What? Why would you come an look for me to say sorry?"
Spite rose in her words, clearly confronting him. When in doubt, use anger as fuel. It's a defense mechanism for Jisa. Every muscle and bone in her body is taught and straight in her body. Her jaw is set and it clearly shows just how pissed off and not in the mood for him she is.
"I'm just a little Shifter, remember? Couldn't hurt a fly."
Jisa snapped at him. So sick. So angry. So sad. Maybe the dark haired Shifter was taking it out on the boy-who's-name-she-didn't-know-yet a little too much. However in her mind, he completely deserved it. Then he switched subjects, oh but Jisa was already on it.
"Of course I'm okay, I'm always okay. Everything's just fine and dandy."
She almost spat at him in harsh sarcasm. Broken hearts hurt, and hurt isn't something Jisa allows herself to feel.

Adam backed up a step. "Look, I know what I did was wrong. And I'm sorry. But, at least you know I'm sorry." he said. "Hate me if you want, just please, don't break me." he sighed. Such a girly line, but he could see that she was trying to smash his spirit like it was nothing. Well, it was. He held back what he wanted to say next, and left it at that. He turned to leave her to herself, hoping she would stop him and say something else. He started to walk away when he stopped to look at a family. They were laughing and playing and having fun, enjoying each other's company. That's all Adam wanted. That's all Adam ever wanted. A family to love and call his own.

This guy backed up and explained that he knew what he did was wrong and that he apologised. How had this guy turned everything into a big soap opera? Here was Jisa, a misunderstood, fiery Shifter just minding her own business waiting to die near a river and he just barged into her life. It wasn't like they were even friends or anything so why was he so keen on coming to her and apologizing to her? Nothing made sense. He walked away and Jisa watched him. Fine, let him go it wouldn't be that big a loss to her, if it was at all. Shoving her hands in her pockets Jisa waited and watched him. The fear of being alone nagged at her incessently. Sharply inhaling, she thought about how crazy she was. I need something to do with my life. Shaking her head Jisa called after him, rolling her eyes at herself.
"Hey! What's your name?"

Adam stopped. He turned to look at her. "Adam Michael Carlos Santiago." he said. He turned his entire body toward her. He had nothing else to say as he walked toward her again. "I know you hate me, but why now? Why do you want to know who I am now?" he asked.
