I jogged down the street, looking as if I had just gotten into a gang fight or something similar. My eyes were rimmed with slight black circles that was getting to be not-so-obvious in the evening light. I was also holding my left arm trying not to jiggle it around so much. The sleeve of my shirt covered up what was a nasty looking, now scabbed over, two inch long cut going from the front of my shoulder, across it and then down a little. That was from a run in with the EF. My jeans had a hole in one knee and grass stains on the other. Besides the fact that there was a little bit of dirt here and there. My short sleeve shirt was almost OK, except that it looked almost the same as my jeans, without the hole and most of those grass stains. My hair...was well normal I supposed. I had picked, rather yanked, out the thorn vines that had clung to it, from that EF encounter, and combed through it with my hands. I couldn't do much better but it looked it's usual messy self. I looked around wearily, both tired and a little suspicious. I wouldn't be jogging to Jisa's house right now if I didn't think that arriving in the dead of night would freak her out. I didn't want that, she would more than likely grab a knife and hold it to my throat and ask who I was later. I was tired of knives. I was tired of trees. I was tired of just about everything right now. Well everything except sleeping. That I could do for weeks now if I had a chance. I could go into hibernation if I wanted and wake up next spring. That's what you get from constantly being on alert half the time and then moving around to make sure your not caught. For almost a week now. Oh Jisa I hope your not thinking I'm dead or something... meep. If I could take a wild guess it was that she hardly missed me at all or hardly noticed I was gone. We will soon see.
I let go of my arm and ran up to Jisa's door causally like an excited kid that can't wait to see her friends, ignoring a small jolt of pain that let me know my arm didn't appreciate the hurrying. Just in case someone was watching. I knocked on the door, remembering the last time I didn't, and waited. Seems like you've been doing a lot of waiting these days. I smiled slightly, one that disappeared almost as quick as it had shown up.

A thin, pink line ran across Jisa's cheek, looking raised. A fresh scar, and one that wouldn't disappear with every shift. The dark haired Shifter slouched at the kitchen table, her hair hanging around her face like a curtain. She was still stunned. Okay so, she was important- but not important enough to keep alive if she caused trouble? Sighing, she rubbed her temples. Life was very quickly becoming more tiresome than it had been before. What was she to do about Ash? Even though the sixteen year old hadn't exactly been around for the day- Jisa knew she hadn't taken off. No, that was something the panther Shifter would have done. In fact Jisa had done that and it had gotten her where she was at the moment. Where was she? In trouble. A knock at the door startled her out of her thoughts. Actually she was a little more surprised that she hadn't heard someone coming. Her liquid movements brought her to the door silently, already getting used to being light on her feet and undetectable. Jisa flinched again as she noticed that it was Ash at the door. It could have been a whole lot easier if it was some angry enemy of hers. Then they could possibly kill her. Yeah because death really solves your problems. That really, really annoying voice grated on her nerves. Opening the door, Jisa took in Ash's appearance with an almost non existent flicker of the eyes. One of her eyebrows raised unintentionally as she stood aside to let Ash in. Ash looked like she had been dragged through a hedge backwards. Everything about her screamed EF attack. Jisa didn't say a word. Realizing that she was staring and hadn't said anything, Jisa shut the door behind Ash and leaned against a wall. A small smirk failed to pass over her lips, Jisa's heart wasn't in the teasing sarcasm today.
"You know, however a great idea it may be at the time, provoking someone you don't know and then realizing that they're EF really isn't a good idea."

The door opened, you couldn't even hear if there was a person behind it. I gave a tired cheerful smile but that drifted away quickly. Something wasn't right or Jisa was grimmer than I was used to. I looked at Jisa. She looked the same as always except for one thing. The newest scar, not quite healed yet, on her face used to be a knife wound, I would know quite frankly. I rubbed my shoulder unconsciously thinking about how much it had first hurt. I was about to open my mouth and ask how she had gotten that but she beat me to saying something. "I didn't really provoke her...until the end. How did you know that anyway!?" I said both indignantly and suspiciously. It had sounded like she heard my story and yet maybe she didn't. Problem was that if she had where? Unless...nah. No Supernatural was an EF cop. They would as soon as kill a Supernatural than let them join forces with them. I had just recently proved that point, in a way. I leaned again the wall opposite to the one Jisa was leaning. Something had changed while I was gone. For the worse if I knew Jisa. I wanted to find out but I was unsure...should I? Was this what she had been talking about? I wasn't sure and I also wasn't sure if I wanted to know. "...it would not be wise to stick with your guide all of the time." It this what she meant? I would find out it wouldn't matter if I didn't want to or not. Maybe sooner than I thought I would.

Ash's failure of a smile told Jisa that maybe it wasn't the time to be scolding the poor girl for running around from the EF. The dark haired woman knew that sometimes it just happened. Jisa could feel Ash's eyes on her scar, but instead of snapping at her for being nosey, she let her. Catching the movement of Ash's hand to her arm, Jisa guessed that Ash too had gotten a bit of a taste of a knife's power within the last twenty four hours. The silence was uncomfortable, however, Jisa resisted the urge to fidget. The direction of Ash's question startled Jisa. The reason she knew was because she was part of the EF and word travelled very fast around the whole group. Instead of answering, Jisa brushed off the question and decided just to play on the fact that Ash had been staring at her scar.
"Before you ask, the scar was from the EF."
She told Ash pretty simply, purposefully making it clear that it was not welcome to ask anymore questions about how she knew about the attack. Secrets, secrets shifter. Don't you ever get sick of them? That was the annoying voice again. Somehow, this alerted Jisa to the point that Ash looked like she had a few secrets on her too.

I nodded. "I thought as much." I replied. Then added, when I realized what I did when I saw Jisa's newest scar. "Same way." A little bit too quickly I shoved my right hand into my jean pocket. I heard the way Jisa answered she didn't want to tell me the full story and gave another short nod. Though I was wondering where and how she had gotten it. Surely Jisa could get the better of the EF anytime she wanted? Yet again more of her words came back to me. "Your Jisa isn't invincible." I nearly turned to punch the wall. Instead I was satisfied with the slight flash of anger in my eyes. I hope Jisa didn't think it was for her, it wasn't. If only she knew. I set my jaw, like I do when I was thinking. Jisa knew I had a few new secrets of my own. I knew she had some of her own too. Jisa wasn't going to tell me and I was relieved. I didn't want to know anything more than I already did about the dark haired shifter, Jisa was my friend, but the way the she had said her words that night behind them it sounded like I would find out who Jisa really was one of these days. Secrets weren't good. Maybe ones like what you got someone for their Christmas present or a surprise birthday party. But not the ones Supernaturals had to keep. Those were almost never good. Never.

Victoria followed Ash through the city, wondering where she went and where shes going. Watching her walk into a house, she flew over to the window and looked in. She sees a black haired girl standing in the room with a scar on her. She watched as Ash came in and wondered who the girl is. Eyes widening, she remembered the black haired girl as her image appeared in her head. Finding a small crack in the window, she crawled through it and flew over to Jisa happily. "Hi Jisa! Remember me?! I havent seen you in so long! How you been? What have you been doing all this time and hi Ash!" Victoria said excitedly as she flew over to Ash. "Where have you been Ash?! I missed you! and why does Jisa have a scar?!" Victoria asked quickly as she started to fly in circles between the two shifters, her body becoming a yellow and blue blurr until she lost her pattern and slamed into Jisa's stomach.

The silence was stifling and Jisa's eyes flickered around. Too many secrets make problems, don't they? Jisa bit her tongue to keep herself from replying to the voice out loud. Of course, she was more angry that she had to keep secrets than at the truth the voice always spoke. The flash of anger in Ash's eyes sparked curiosity in Jisa, yet it was controlled curiosity. A small feeling nagged at her stomach as she wondered if she was rubbing off on Ash a little too much. Control and discipline was good but only Jisa knew how much her bad attitude got her in trouble. Sighing, Jisa ran a hand through her hair- well before she heard the slight thrum of wingbeats in one of the other rooms. Instantly she was on guard and her eyes flickered around. Her eyes flew wide open as a small fairy happily chattered at her and then Ash. What the-? And then Jisa remembered. Victoria, the fairy with a cut- or who had once had a cut and Jisa had helped her out. Her lips tightened at that thought, apparently this wasn't the only time she had become soft in her life.
"Umm..."
For the first time in a long time, Jisa was caught off guard and had nothing to say. The bubbliness and happiness was slightly unnerving. After a torrent of words, the fairy spun in circles and slammed into Jisa's stomach. Stumbling slightly, Jisa picked up the fairy by her wings and placed her on the table next to them both. Jisa opened her mouth to answer, but she found herself grasping for words that just weren't there.

Jisa was on the alert as she heard something. I listened too but was a little to late to identify it as a yellow and blue streak started to zip around in a pattern. I couldn't help myself, I jumped slamming into the wall. I bit my lip to keep from crying out as my left shoulder hit the wall the hardest. The wild fright of an animal thrummed through my veins and my breath came in a silent pant. Before I saw who it was. I clenched my fists to keep from grabbing the fairy and shaking her. I calmed and a smile that I didn't want to come tugged at my lips. I was too jumpy lately and that had nearly sent me running out of the house and for the hills, literally. "Vicky! Don't do that ever again. I'm...uh...sorry Jisa? I think she followed me." I closed my eyes and started to remember walking here. Did you see or hear anything? Did you smell anything? Both were no but I knew I should have been more alert to detect someone was following me. But you were! That voice that had warned me at the mall returned. Shut up! I told it again. I could just imagine a mini me stomping back off into the shadows of my mind. Don't be so hard on yourself. It called back and I mentally strangled it, feeling better.

Victoria looked up at the two, watching their expressions. She heard her stomach growl and held her stomach, face red from embarrassement. She didn't know what to say now. She can feel the tension bewteen them and didnt like it one bit. Standing up, she decided to try to lighten the mood up. Flapping her wings, she flew up. "So...how has everyone been?" She asked, hoping to change the mood. She feels weird being the only happy one in the room so she wants to change it. Taking a small deep breath, she flew over to the counter and sat down, waiting for one to response. She felt her stomach growl silently and put her arm over it, trying to ignore it.

So maybe the scare of a little fairy flying into the room was a little funny. That became very clear when Ash jumped into the wall. A small smile tugged at the corner of Jisa's rarely happy lips. Jisa just waved Ash's apology off. After all, what could a fairy really do to someone as tall and fast to react as Jisa? It seemed unlikely that Victoria would attack anyway. This whole thing made the dark haired shifter on edge though. She was supposed to kill any supernatural she saw, that responsibility weighed down on her like a ton of bricks. A small grumble caused Jisa's eyes to snap back to the little fairy on the counter top. Sighing, Jisa gestured to the kitchen.
"Go ahead, there's a lot of stuff in there."

"So now you try to smile." I said a touch of bitterness in my voice. Yeah some joke. Gee that hurt. I rubbed the shoulder while I watched Jisa, ignoring the fairy for a minute. No. Something wasn't right. I glared at Jisa for a moment more. Maybe my theory was right. Maybe I should go. No. That would only bring her back wanting me to go back to Jisa. I didn't want to see her for a long time. She only meant trouble. I kept my jaw clenched and watched Vicky and then turned back to my thoughts. I fought myself and the possible truth. No, yes, no, yes... It just kept going back and forth with no conclusion. Besides how did she get them to recruit her instead of killing her? Why? Everything didn't add up! I scowled, frustrated. Which half was true? Only time would tell or the logical side of my brain would come into play. I wanted the second one to happen quick or I would drive myself mad thinking.

Victoria still floated in midair, looking at the two. Sighing slightly, she flew off to take a look around the house. She flew from room to room, admiring it. Flying over towards a window, she sat down on the ledge and leaned against the glass. Taking out a locket, she opened it and listened to the soft music playing as she looked at a pic of her, Tabitha, and Anthony. Closing the locket up, she closed her eyes and hugged it close, letting tears fall from her sapphire pools. She remembers a group coming after them. She got knocked out and when she woke up, she found the bodies of her lovers laying on the ground. The image was burned into her memory, never wanting to leave. She continued to let tears fall down her cheeks, keeping the locket in her grasp.
