yeah I could roar and then we’d scare it all off he thought miserably But in the company of cheerful Impera he Simon found that he couldn’t be miserable for much longer than a second. Leaning down he pulled his sock off and began to ring it out, wet clothes he could deal with, but wet feet, uh uh, no way. yep that’s who she is and I’m her fateful side kick he brandished his sock Simon the under master and with this sock I shall suck you away! he declared in his most pompous voice, this voice he did this one quite well. He finished wrung the sock out water dripping onto the pavement So is today a special day or are you always this happy? Simon asked, curious.

“The under master aye?” She laughed, “The sock will absorb all water!” Anyone who saw the two fooling around near the fountain would think they were crazy. It wasn’t everyday you saw someone claiming to be a water master. Impera thought for a second. Only one second before she banished her logical side and continued her raving about being the best water scarer that ever lived. [i[‘So is today a special day or are you always this happy?’ [/i] “It’s Tuesday!” She threw her arms up almost throwing herself in to the fountain again. “Tuesdays to me are the best days ever! I don’t know why but they are. All of the best days I’ve ever had so far were Tuesdays!” she was talking ever so quickly then suddenly paused. “Apart from my birthday and Christmas and all the other special occasions I can think of.” She said it a bit slower than before. Impera moved quickly into a thinking position and questioned herself on what she was going to ask Simon. Coming up with nothing she simply said: ‘And you?’[/blockquote]

most holidays turn up on Tuesdays eventually oh great water scarier, so your theory is still good Simon said, his mouth feeling sore from all the grinning he was doing, but he couldn’t stop. He gave her the thumbs up. He grinned widely at a man who walked by, the man shock his head well we must look rather odd he admitted and then shrugged. He looked for a dry place to put his now mostly dry sock, couldn’t find one, shrugged again and put it back on his foot. well he began pulling off the other shoe its not every day you get pushed into a water fountain by an over grown ape and then pulled from that water by a prancing lunatic who also happens to be a great water scarer! he laughed and his shoe came off grinning with triumph he added this has to be one of the best things that ever happened to me, sad as that sounds he laughed.

“what Simon says is true.” She nudged the air beside her and nodded. Simon smiled at a man who walked past, he seemed to not be amused by either of them. She pulled a face at him once his back was facing them then turned back to Simon. What do they know? It’s not like they are part of this awesome conversation, she thought. “P-prancing…L-Lunatic?” She looked at him for a moment acting offended them she flashed one of her all to common and genuine smiles. “That about sums me up.” Best things ever? Impera thought, I’m in someone’s best days ever! She let out a squeal of joy, the same one that she woke up to. Not once in her life had she ever been in someone’s best things to ever happen list. She was normally incorporated in the worst things category. She grabbed his hand that was holding his shoe and shook it excitedly. “I’m honored to be part of your ‘best things that ever happened’!” She shook his hand a little longer after she finished then stopped to let him return to his shoe drying.

He laughed when she pulled a face and then after a moment of hesitation pulled one of his own. Simon held his shoe, giving it a look as if to say, how dare you be wet too! which was exactly what her was thinking. Then he grinned as she pretend to be offended. glad I got you down pat he said pleased that she thought it a complement. His shoe hit the pavement and caused ripples in the puddle that had formed below where he was sitting, but Simon didn’t really mind and it’s not like it can get any wetter Then he was distracted by Impera’s squeal of joy, it sounded so full of life and energy, just like the person it came from. I’m glad you are too he said or we wouldn’t be having this conversation and it wouldn’t be the best day ever he got out just a tad overwhelmed by her excitement, but not minding in the least. Still smiling as she released his hands Simon lent down and picked his shoe out of the puddle.

“Best day ever!” Impera agreed with a nod then put her feet back on the ground. “I’m still not dry yet, how ‘bout yourself? Oh!” Impera held her finger up as if pointing to the sky. She had an idea, not that it would make either of them any dryer but she just had to have some. Grabbing her small bag she pulled out her money pouch and put it close to her ear and shook it. The coins inside jingled next to each other. Oh yeah I have money, she thought triumphantly. “Ice-cream! You like ice-cream? I love ice-cream! Let’s go get some! My shout! Please Simon? Pleeaasse?” Like before she spoke it all at once without one single breath nor a space for him to speak. “It’s not gunna makes us any dryer but its yummy, right!”

Simon lent back in surprise at the speed in which she’d leapt to her feet. Whoa she’s fast He’d nearly finished shaking his shoe dry and was feeling quite pleased with himself when she started to yell excitedly about ice-cream. shout me an ice cream? Simons smile spread across his still damp face. He liked ice cream, not as much as apple pie but it is the second best thing to pig out on when you get the chance Simon thought happily. He pulled his mostly dry sock back on his feet and rounded up his shoes. ok why not? But on two conditions He held up one shoe One, I get to buy us both a drink off something which will also make use no dryer The second shoe came up and two the ice cream I get has to be strawberry, cause that’s my favorite one After a moment of wrestling with his shoes Simon got them on a stood up triumphant on mostly dry feet. ok, so where do we go for ice cream?

Impera mentally screamed again almost deafening herself. Ice cream was the best food, according to Impera that is, that was great on every occasion known to man. The two conditions didn’t bother her as long as they weren’t outrageous like some had been. She held up her two fingers as if ready to count down till she could blast off to the nearest ice-cream place. “Drinks? Yup sure! I can let you do that!” One finger went down and was encased by her other waiting hand ready to suffocate the remaining finger. “Strawberry? Deal, done deal!” The excitement was clear and slightly overwhelming, she hadn’t had ice-cream since yesterday and that was a very long time for her. She watched as he wrestled with his shoes. “To the ice-creamery!” She said loudly thrusting her hand into the sky but immediately put it down again. “Do we even have one of them?” She shrugged then came to a conclusion. “The Little Bistro! They should have some, right?”

Simon grinned as she almost bubbled over with excitement. Yeah I’m pretty sure they have ice cream, I was there just the other day His tongue slid out and made his already wet lips even wetter. And they have apple pie he started off into the distance I love apple pie he frowned As long as there’s no custard, I hate custard Simon shook the pockets that were hanging wetly off his pants, there was a promising jingle. good, I have money he thought happily, he’d been worried for a moment there that it had fallen into the fountain and he hadn’t noticed in all the excitement. Shall we go? he managed to asked during a break in one of her excited out bursts.

"Then to the Little Bistro it is!" Impera said excitedly. It had been almost a week since she was last at the Little Bistro. She wondered if anything had changed in the small week she'd been gone. Then again not much really happened to places in a week. She smiled at her little thought. She was snapped back into real life only to see Simon gazing into the distance talking about apple pie. She giggled once he finished. "Custard if delicious and apple pie is too but i don't like them when they are mixed. It has to be cream with apple pie or nothing!" She nodded her head in approval. "We shall go once i've packed up my things." She motioned towards her pen, pencil and ipod. She crouched to the ground and collected her things, shoving them back into her bag. She didn't take very good care of little things when she was preoccupied and no matter how hard she tried she just couldn't focus on two things when one was ten times greater than the other. Once her things were packed she pointed in the direction of the Little Bistro, or so she thought. Impera was not good with directions or knowing where things were. She began to walk with her bag slung over once shoulder. Her feet made a splashing noise as they collided with the puddle filled ground.

Simon grinned when she agreed with him about apple pie and custard, it was a theory he had explained many people most had look at him in an odd way and left soon after that. Cream I can live with! he laughed wonder if they’ll let us in this wet? he wonder watching the water splashing into the fountain as she gathered her things. As he watched the fountain he absent mildly grabbed clumps of his shirt and wrung it out, the water from his shirt dripping off it and to his mostly dry shoes. wonder what apple pie and ice cream tastes like… When Impera set off he followed her, Simon’s sense of direction was as about as fine tuned as a broken wireless. Hands in pockets and feet making mini tsunamis in the many puddles that their escapades had caused he happily trailed behind her grinning in the sunshine.

Impera had been walking for a while talking about many different things that the Little Bistro had. She hadn't noticed the changing scenery of the town shopping district to houses. Lining the streets was old houses new houses and houses that were mini apartments. Impera finally took in the surroundings and stopped. She had one hand on her hip the other was scratching her head in confusion. Her bag fell from her shoulder and hung at her wrist. "Simon, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but i think the Little Bistro is in the other direction.." She turned on the balls of her feet and smiled guiltily at him. "I think it's.." she looked past Simon in the direction they had come. "That way!" She continued to walk swinging her bag up back to her shoulder. Impera felt a little bad for sending them in the wrong direction and apologized every 5 minutes but at least she was dryer and had had a very lovely walk with him.
So after a long trek to the Little Bistro, which turned out to be only a 2 minute walk from the Square, She opened the door for Simon. "Again I'm really sorry. I'll by pie for you!" She said with a smile.
