With the night as young as it was Raan had the entire night to find some entertainment for the evening. There was always something new to keep him entertained every night even if he wasn’t working, tonight though he was working. The bar was an easy job. Get the order, grab a glass, fill it with the specified drink then hand it over. Easy enough but sometimes a little repetitive. Tonight it seemed a little dead compared to most but as stated before the night was young. ”Come on! Liven up!” he murmured as he lounged on the bar. He rested his chin in his palm and looked between the dance floor and the door. Maybe someone worth his time would enter through it. Maybe someone who will truly be quality entertainment. He sighed and turned facing the wall of drink bottles. They were all bourbons, whiskies, tequila, all the drinks that either came in a shot glass or had to be mixed with another drink. He grabbed a glass and poured himself a strong shot of tequila and downed it quickly. It tasted like molten lava running down his throat. ”That was good!” he said with a smile. He turned back around to the bar to see that someone knew had, in fact, entered the bar. Someone he hadn’t seen before. They seemed rather interesting. Maybe they wanted a drink? Raan could easily supply them with one. He laughed lightly to himself and stayed perched on the bar waiting for some customers.

Jane pushed open the door and stalked into the bar, she was in a reasonably good night. Getting into a fight with somebody tended to do that to her. She didn’t stop or pause to look around the pub; you went to a bar to drink, what was the point of talking to people? You couldn’t talk and drink, it just didn’t work. Reaching the bar she sat down on one of the seats and waved her hand at the bar tender, he was one she hadn’t seen before, but then I haven’t been in here much she admitted to herself, eyes scanning the selves to see what they had to offer oi you! Give me your strongest drink! she said, in a no argument tone of voice.

The girl who had entered the nightclub didn't stop to find someone, nor had she gone to the dance floor. She had come straight toward him. The bar seemed to be her ideal place. Raan quickly twisted off the bar and grabbed a cloth then threw it over his shoulder. He had seen many barmen do this. He thought it looked professional. With a quick movement he turned and began to clean the shot glass he had used. "Oi You! Give me your strongest drink!" [/b] She ordered. Raan turned around and placed the shot glass on the shelf beneath the bar. He quickly skimmed through the mental list of drinks they sold. The one drink that came to mind was the Teal Bomb. A mixture of tequila, jagermeister and teal coloured flavouring that was a mixture of blue berry and apple. "One Teal Bomb coming up, Miss" He nodded and pulled out a large glass. The kind you find at the movie theater, specifically the medium cup. He dug it into the ice bucket and then added the tequila and jagermeister then followed by the flavouring and then added a straw. He quickly mixed it up and slid it to her. "Enjoy, My lady" He lifted his hat just like a gentlemen would. His pointed ears looked a little squished against his skull from wearing the hat so much. He grabbed another glass and began to slowly clean it. She is definately not of the supernatural kind, he thought with a slight hiss, All the better to toy with her His mind rang with his mental snicker. Raan continued to clean, his expression hadn't changed one little bit.[/blockquote]

Jane raised her eyebrows at the bar tender, with his gangster hat and cloth over his shoulder he looked like something out of a holly wood movie. Miss? Jane shock her head, this guy was lucky that she was in a good mood tonight. Pulling her wallet out of the back pocket of her genes, Jane looked at him out of corner of her eye A teal bomb? Sounds like fun Her eyes followed the way he made the drink closely, seeing what went into a ‘teal bomb’, it was interesting to see the liquids swirl together. She caught the drink as it slid towards her, eyes narrowing as she saw his pointed ears. Taking a sip of her teal bomb she flipped her wallet open, how much? she asked, her gray eyes on him, calculating.

Raan had actually designed the Teal Bomb by himself when he was alone just before work. It was true that it was a fun drink. Something to easily get drunk from after about three of them. It came in other colours as well but Teal was his favourite of them all. The woman flipped open her wallet and asked for the price. Raan simply smiled at her and said curtly "For you, Miss, It's only 2 dollars" he held up two fingers while leaning over the table. Raan was using his charm to see if he could pick her up and by the way she was looking at him she seemed skeptical. A thinker. Raan wasn't a fan of thinkers. They new there way around his tactics but none the less he kept on trying. He grabbed another glass, a simple slender wine glass, and pored himself a red drink known to him as the Bell Pepper. "So, busy night ahead of you, miss? Going to party all night?" he asked striking a conversation. Raan picked the drink up and began to slowly tip it back. There was no mixture just a pure drink which was typically used as a shot rather than a drink. It burned down his throat just like the tequila but worse, as if he had just swalled an entire batch of chilli's. But man, was it good. With a smile his eyes wondered around the club then back to the woman he had served.

Jane just started at him and then smiled, her smile was unpleasant one dollar she said leaning forward to him and folding one of his fingers down. Leaning back she pulled one gold coin out of her wallet and put it down on the bar, then she placed another next to it this isn’t bad so I’ll have two Pulling the straw out of the drink she leaned back and skulked it, the liquid vanishing down her throat, like the drain of a sink. Placing the drink down on the bench she stared at him as he swallowed his own drink, nope, I plan to stay here, drink myself into a stupor and then get into the biggest bar fight I can manage she told him And I’ll have one of those too she said, placing another dollar next to the first two.

Raan smiled as the woman forced one of his fingers down saying it was only one dollar. He was going to get in trouble for it considering the Teal Bomb was originally a 6 dollar drink. But he couldn't refuse a womans request even though her smile suggested she wasn't requesting it. The dollar was put on the table followed by another. Raan smiled and accepted them pulling out the ingredients for the drink again. "certainly, Miss" he said mixing the drinks then handing it to her. Raan was impressed. She was cocky and demanding and by the looks of it liked her booze. He was happy to keep serving her as long as he had someone to talk to and keep him entertained. By the looks of it the night wasn't going to pick up any more. "Nope, I plan to stay here, drink myself into a stupor and then get into the biggest bar fight i can manage." "Well, Miss, that sounds fun but as a worker here i must urge you not to fight in the club." It was one of the things he disliked doing. Refusing someone their soul purpose for being there. If he wasn't a worker then he would have definitely joined in with the fighting. I mean who would beat up a girl right? He nodded at her request for the drink he had made for himself. "That'd be a Bell Pepper, Madam, burns going down burns coming up. Feels like your swallowing chilli's. Still want one?" Knowing her answer he made the drink in the same size glass as his own. 3 dollars and 3 drinks. His salary for the night was going to most likely be docked. He poured himself another drink and swallowed it in one gulp. He was already in debt with the club that was the reason he worked here in the first place so why not work himself in there more by drinking on the job. He cleaned the first glass the woman drank from and whistled a small tune. Raan was somewhat of a musical talent. It came with being an elf. "So, Madam, whose the lucky fella your gunna start a brawl with?" he asked wanting to get into it. His smirk was huge and so was his ego.

Jane took the second drink from him and took a sip of it eyes revolving around the club, eyeing each of the patrons in turn, judging them for their danger too her and then turning back to the bar keeper, swallowing the second teal bomb in two gulps she raised her eyebrows at him haven’t started yet she muttered, but I’m thinking about it Putting the second cup down on the bar she smiled at him sounds like a challenge, I’ll take two she said. Jane loved a challenge and when given one, she always ramped it up by two. Taking the drink from him she swirled it around in the cup, watching the liquid dance and then she raised her head and meet his eyes you she said in all seriousness and downed her third drink, grinning at the flaming taste of it.

As the woman ordered two Bell Peppers he knew she was one serious woman about her drinks. She wanted what he was having and downed two Teal Bomb in a matter of minutes. She must have felt a little tipsy if not completely drunk but she seemed fine after the two. Curious he watched her as he poured her two Bell Peppers. If she wasn't drunk yet she was going to be after these two. Raan drank almost every night so to him his blood was mostly alcohol anyway so his two drinks didn't even leave a mark on him. This woman seemed to like challenges and waited till she spoke who she wanted to brawl with. "You." One word. One simple word and Raan regretted wanting to help her immediately. He was a girl basher but if one posed a problem then he would have no choice. Raan slaped the towel down onto the counter making a loud snapping noise and lent over the bar close to her. The scent on her breath smelt like the Teal Bomb. Sweet and completely alcoholic. "Now, Miss, Why would you go and do that?" A rhetorical question. "But I've no choice but to accept your brawl challenge. Even if you are just human." The words left his mouth before he had time to even think them. But that's how Raan was. Even though he would probably get fired for this he just had to go with it. He slid over the bar and landed on his feet. He was dressed in his regular gentleman ganster outfit. His hands slid into his pockets as he stared at the Woman. "Before we start, Miss, I'd like to know your name." he smiled most devilishly, "Mine is Raan."

Jane finished off the Bell pepper, her throat feeling like she’d swallowed a box of matches, but this just made Jane smile what doesn’t kill you just makes you stronger She didn’t even blink when the towel slapped onto the bench, she just put her cup down next to it, the glass against wood making a slight clink as it made contact. Grinning at him, teeth gleaming in the shifting lights that swirled around the bar she leaned forward, toward him cause Mr. Elfie, it’s my job she whispered, game face on yeah, well your only an elf Then he was over the bar, standing in front of her, hands in his pockets, smiling like the sins of angles. Pity Jane wasn’t an angle. Standing up to face him, Jane’s head only just reached his shoulder, she hated that other than not being human that’s another reason for him to go down she thought grimly, as she stuck her thumbs through the belt loops in her genes. well Raan, I’m Miss Azguard she said, or if you want to be less formal, Jane And with the formalities over, Jane grabbed the glass that was on the bench, faster than the eye could follow, and threw it at him, the glass sailing through the air toward his face. As the cup left her hand, Jane bent her knees and leapt onto the bar.

Raan frowned at her when she called him Mr. Elfie. He may have been an elf but that was no reason to call him Elfie. Somewhat aggravated now he smiled at her, a menacing grin, as she told him her name. Jane Azguard He made a mental note of it and stayed staring at her. She was going to make the first move he could feel it. As the glass came catapulting towards him his instincts were to shield his face. The glass shattered against his arms cutting it in the process. Bloody humans like to fight dirty, he hissed in his mind and put his arms down. Jane leapt over the bar. That wasn't too good. Raan's weapons were there as well as the booze. He darted over the bar after her not fully entering it. His stomach flat on the bar he reached for his only source of weapons. A small box knife was sitting there next to a few empty bottles. Raan stretched his arm as far as he could to reach it but didn't manage to get his hands on it instead he grabbed an empty bourbon bottle. The club was now alive with commotion just how Raan wanted it although he never would have pictured it was because of a fight.

Sliding over the bar Jane grinned as she heard his grunt of displeasure, she liked displeasing people. Swinging Her feet she landed on the other side of the bar, hand going under it she grinned as she found what she was looking for; A baton, black a heavy it promised retribution to all who opposed it. Stepping back as the elf leaned over the bar to grab something, an empty bourbon bottle as it turned out. The noise in the club stepped up to the next level, Jane wasn’t sure if it was because of the fight she and Raan where having or the fact that a popular song had just begun to blare through the speakers. Laughing at his misfortune of grabbing an empty bottle she leaned forward and swung the baton at his head.

Raan held the bottle defensively as he slid back off the bar top onto one of the chairs. He smiled pleased with himself. Smooth move. He saw the baton Jane was holding fly towards his head. Again he shielded his face blocking the baton from causing serious harm. It only made the scratches on his arm feel worse but he recovered quickly holding the bottle ready to fight. He quickly slid of the chair before she could pummel him again. Raan didn't like to beat up girls it was part of his gentlemen code. "Step out of the bar! and fight like a man!" the words were cold and bitter towards her. Not at all like before when his tone was light and casual. She was really getting to him. His only plan was to somehow catch her off guard and pick her up somehow. Maybe he could knock her out if her got a clear shot to the head. That plan seemed logical. Raan began to move with his plan. But waited till Jane would leave the sanctuary of the bar. No one wanted alcohol to be spilled.

sorry what was that tree hugger? Couldn’t hear you over the sound of me kicking your but! Jane taunted, swinging her baton in a circle, her grin one of malice. Jane was going to leave the bar, not if she could help it, in here her small size was an advantage, out there the big ox of an elf would be able to put his size to good use. Reaching for the rack behind her she pulled a random bottle of the self and read the label midori? she frowned and used her teeth to pull the lid off, the liquid in the clear glass bottle sloshed, a bright sparkling green. Taking a sip Jane raised her eyebrows, this stuff isn’t bad, sweet, but not bad she took another swig and smiled looked over at Raan hey elf boy, want some? she asked and pegged the bottle at him, why? Only people who I seen do that lose, bad she said dancing back from the bar, laughing. Jane knew that he was going to get sick of her throwing stuff at him and make a move to stop it, but while he’s still taking it Jane shrugged and poked her tongue out at him.

Raan shot her a confused glance. Tree hugger? Just because I'm an elf.... Jane was just giving him more and more ammunition for when his time came to taking the lead and kicking her butt. It appeared she was quite content behind the bar, for Raan it was a little harder to fight behind it. Somehow he had to get her out of there. Just how would he manage to do that though. Jane grabbed a random bottle labeled Midori. That was one of the more popular drinks with the younger customers mainly 20 year olds. Liquid sugar added with alcohol Raan referred to it as. The bottle came flying at him. Raan caught it with his free hand and took a swig immediately spitting it out after. It was way too sweet for him. Raan smashed the two bottle on the ground in frustration. "If your not coming out I'll make you." Raan walked over to the dance floor and climber onto the DJ stand. There he grabbed a microphone stand and jumped back off. He turned back just in time to see her stick her tongue out. That was really childish, he noted, She's a little tipsy, maybe i can... A devilish grin spread across his face and he darted towards the bar. With his long legs he was there in a matter of steps. Using the microphone stand he attempted to hook her around the neck so he could slam her face against the bar. Keeping a distance he kept an eye on her movements keeping tabs on each movement pin pointing her level of intoxication.
