Leah Orifell . the black converse shoes hit the ground in a steady beat to it, like the way someone might create a pattern of musical notes when they preform. it was like that, but this pattern was quite rapid as she moved at a swift pace, faster than a jog but slower than a swift sprint. her eyes of a nice green, like a grass green, and a deep ocean color of blue, where widened slightly as she moved up in her pace, stretching her legs to he fullest limit and running. it felt nice with the cool breeze moving around her as she ran.
what happened next was amazing; her pupils dilated quickly and a small smile come upon her pale face as she jumping up, and she jumped nearly ten feet, but that's not what was such a fascination. mid-jump, her human form began to warp and twit on itself. her bones changed beneath the pale, smooth skin, shifting into stronger, thicker ones. her appearance changed as the human outside form vanished, leaving a sort of glow before as quickly as it started, it was gone. the skin had been replaced with thick fur and everything about the figure that had been human a moment before was shifted. a shape-shifter, one that was to be hunted down by elites.
a wolf that would measure nearby a head taller than a common, normal breed of wolf stood there, landing on the neat forepaws, the strength showing in the wolf's mix of deep brown and gold hued thick fur. the only thing that showed this sudden wolf was the human that had been there before where the unusual colored eyes of green and blue.
a sound rumbled from the shifter's maw as enjoyment illuminated across the female's face. her pace slackened until she was trotting, her brown-gold paws lightly brushing the ground only to keep her at a trot as she lightly growled, and a wolfish smile came onto her maw. her light golden brown pelt ruffled in the breeze as she trotted along, and her eyes could a flash of light somewhere, like it was reflecting off metal. the wolf stopped, pausing as her velvety auds flickered around, rotating in different directions as she scanned for any signs of others or danger before she carelessly shrugged her furred shoulders and sprinted towards the reflecting, flickering light.
she found out it was water, a river, that the surface of the liquid was reflecting the sun's blindingly white rays. she catiously approached the river, before slowly wadding into the shallows, the coolness of the water swishing past her. the she-wolf smiled softly as her tail tip flickered and she peered into the water, and huffed softly. i wonder..

Hmmm, memories. The dark haired Shifter thought to herself as she took a quiet stroll through the forest bordering Quicksilver River. The memories that Jisa was thinking of? Well, they weren't the warm and fuzzy kind that you would expect; not in the least. They were more like the 'you almost died here idiot!' type that Jisa was more acquainted with. You would think any normal person would steer clear of the places that they were left to die in. You see, Jisa wasn't normal- maybe six years ago she was, but not anymore. The air was chilly and sharp, barely a time to have a walk in the wilderness. The distant hoot of an owl could be heard through the crickets and tree frogs. The closer to the river she became, the less she could hear the crickets. One foot in front of the other, barely a dull thud as each foot touched the mud of the river bank. Jisa shrugged her shoulders, trying to stretch and relax her muscles. Rolling her neck around, she shoved her hands in her pockets and stared ahead of her. Decisions, decisions... God, Jisa wished that voice would just shut up already. Her blue eyes widened as she shook her head. No need to talk to herself. Nope. There was no voice, just a little bit of too much stress. The dark haired shifter willed herself to believe it. She brushed stray hairs out of her face. Those were beginning to get really annoying too. Finding that she was getting more agitated by the second, Jisa took a few deep breaths. Still the tension refused to melt away like it usually did. Jisa pressed her temples as a headache started on her. Wonderful, just wonderful. Little did Jisa know, she was walking toward a large wolf in the river itself.
The light growling noise startled her enough to make her jump out of her skin. Sadly, this was quite literally. What went up was a six foot two girl, and what came down was a huge black panther. Black as midnight fur shone in the pale moonlight, claws the same color as her pelt dug in and out of the damp soil. Her tail lashed angrily back and forth, menacing growls came from deep within the cat's throat. The headache melted away and so did all the tension. Jisa realized that she had changed. Damn it. The Shifter cursed in her head. Shaking herself out of her slightly menacing state, Jisa became quiet as she looked at the wolf. A familiar scent came to her. Shifter. Okay so either a really good, or a really bad sign. Unable to calm herself down further, Jisa stared with muddled, blue-gold eyes at the she-wolf in the water.

the eyes of grass green and deep sky ocean blue opened from where she had self-consciously closed them. she looked to her left and nearly jumped out of her skin as badly as the other shifter was doing. she only caught blue eyes and dark, black, silken, and long hair before a black panther was there, blue eyes locked on her. caught off guard, she then realized she was bristling and her lip was curled at the panther. bad idea. slowly, the tensity in her muscles and sleek form vanished to be relaxed by a calm and natural posture that screamed out: don't eat me! i'm not a threat!
slowly, Leah blinked as her unusual eyes caught in the sunlight and gleamed quite beautiful colors. the golden brown she-wolf noticed that Jisa had realized she'd changed, and a sound that sounded like soft, gentle yet amused laughter came from the slightly parted maw as she she-wolf flicked her auds to point in a friendly way, pulled back yet there was something in her eyes that said clearly that she was trying to remember: rememberance.
almost openly, the large wolf took a hesitant step towards Jisa. she felt a tugging at her paws and her consciousness, the signal to change and reveal who it really was, but she ignored the tugging sensation. she looked hard at Jisa, and it was obvious she was trying to place who this way. she was oblivious to everything else as she studied Jisa carefully, picking out familiar things. her memory slowly began to click together as she stared at Jisa longer. she barely remembered, but she knew who this was, yet it was unknown if Jisa realized who she was herself.
blue and green orbs where locked firmly on Jisa before slowly, Leah blinked and her maw opened as she spoke, yet she forgot Jisa wouldn't understand her. " do you remember me? " came the growl as the she-wolf met Jisa's blue gold eyes, before she tilted her apex to the side slightly. Leah wasn't going to change until she knew Jisa was no threat, though she also did not be completely wary, yet she was still cautious. she blinked before she waited. she would play this fairly, and she wasn't going to do anything until Jisa stated her place.

Blinking, the great panther kept her distance. Apparently both of them had been as surprised of each other's presence as the other. Something nagged at the edge of Jisa's mind, though all of her human thoughts were blurred and muddled in her present state. As soon as the wolf relaxed, Jisa managed to do so too. The panther's golden-blue eyes closed, her black fur laid back down and her tail only twitched at the end. When she opened her eyes she locked onto the blue and green eyes of the other Shifter. Wait... Something like recognition was trying to assemble itself in Jisa's panther mind.
The wolf relaxed into a universal posture of 'no threat'. Jisa did so too, it seemed like a good idea. God not everyone's out to get you stupid. The voice snapped at her irritably. The sunlight cast off of the river glared into Jisa's eyes, and she blinked furiously. Darn sunlight always getting in the way. Jisa's skin twitched and shook in small places where the sun was making in too hot. Too bad this kitty didn't like water all that much. It could have helped a little.
That gorgeously colored fur sparked even more recognition in Jisa. As she calmed further, her human mind started to come into more focus. With extreme effort, she searched through recent memories. Who was this chick? There was nothing there in the shape of a huge wolf. This she-wolf Shifter seemed to recognize her too. Jisa was at a loss, the she-wolf stepped forward. Stuffing down the feeling of threat, Jisa only let her fur rise a little at the back of her neck. It was okay. If she wanted to kill you, she'd have done it already. Tirelessly, this voice scolded her and corrected her. Silence rang through the river's area, only the slight run of water on stone made a sound. A gentle breeze ruffled Jisa's fur.
Growling from the she-wolf caused the panther's eyes to narrow and her tail to sweep at the ground a little more. However, this was not the growl of menace Jisa had expected. It almost actually seemed like words. One useful thing that could be used in Shifters? That would be the ability to talk to each other in animal form. It would be helpful. Those eyes... and then Jisa had it. The shifter seemed to smile a little. What next, Wolf-boy gonna show up? Jisa grew taller and melted into what she had been before: a person. Not human, but human looking. Her black hair fall down her shoulders and she brushed herself off.
"What's up? Causing anymore trouble in the middle of town?"
Jisa smirked playfully. It seems even the most deranged person could joke.

it was hard for her to truly tell if this was actually Jisa whom she had fought alongside almost a year ago or not-- her wolven mind was scattering about, her senses flickering from Jisa and from everything surrounding them, from the faintest ripple of water to the bird chirping. it all slightly annoyed her; she couldn't concentrate on anything when things like this fiddled with her senses -- it drove her insane.
and something blindingly white hit her eyes and she gave a small yelp as she flinched and then recoiled baack a little, her orbs widening before she shook her head, trying to get the flashing colors out of the insides of her green and blue eyes. the lights and colors flickered and danced in her vision before the she-wolf shook her head slightly and sqeezed her eyes shut until the colors faded. when she opened her orbs again, she found the dark, night black panther before her twitching her skin, as if she where a horse shooing away an irritable fly. Leah blinked her clearing up eyes at the panther before a wolfish smirk came onto her face and she almost playfully growled. almost.
her mind began to become muddled again, and her thoughts where shifted and she couldn't remember who this was and she nearly snarled in frustration. she silenced the slight growl in her throat, cutting it off sharply. no, she could not show up with an aggressive posture; bad things always happened when violence was involved, though surprisingly, isa didn't seem to notice as like Leah had done a minute before, Jisa eyed her features. Leah caught a flicker of who this was again: Jisa. slowly, flecks and pieces of scattered human yet also wolfen memories came to her, and she furrowed her brow. and uddenly it all came rushing back to her.
her pupils widened as she finally found some recognition in it. so it was who she thought it was. apparently Jisa figured out who it was as well. and the darkly colored golden brown she-wolf gave a small snort as Jisa asked her something. but the wolf form moved as she raise a rather large wolf paw, as if she where trying to point something out, but something flickered in the eyes of green and blue as the wolf vanished. the pale-skinned, punk styled hair female stood there. her clothes where casual; a faded gray shirt and a pair of rugged jeans, parts of them frayed and torn, and along the bottom they where shredded, as if someone had tried to rip them off.
" oh, not yet.. but then again, that's a yet.. but there's a high possibility for that to happen, " Leah replied, a smile coming until her ace before she was flinging something onto the back -- sopping wet black shoes. she looked at the things sadly. " poor things, they're all wet.. i didn't think of taking my shoes off before going to a swim! " she said, obvious annoyed at her shoes, but she focused back on Jisa with a grin. " and where have you been yourself? and don't pretend you don't have a story to tell, " she said, amusement flickering in her unusual eyes before she began to prod a pebble stuck in the muddy bank idly.

It seemed that the she-wolf, Leah, had recognized Jisa herself too. The she-wolf gave way to a pale girl with striking eyes. This was the little she-wolf Shifter who ran with Wolf-Boy and Jisa away from an angry mob of humans. Jisa smirked slightly at the thought. Oh yes, the days where running could outdo a human. Not anymore. Jisa crossed her arms over her chest and leaned to one side, her hair draping down behind her. Her eyes were trained on Leah, actually staring at her shoes that were in the water. Shuddering slightly, Jisa wondered how anyone could stand the feel of cold water. Walking around in those would be uncomfortable for a while. Raising an eyebrow, Jisa looked back up at Leah's face. Though she hadn't really gotten to know Leah, at all, she had a feeling she might like the girl. If it weren't for her tough look and confidence, then maybe Jisa wouldn't.
Leah's first comment broke a smile across Jisa's face, as well as a quiet snort. Yup, see? She liked the way Leah thought. Jisa blew part of a side bang out of her face. Just you wait until she got back to her job, that man would pay for cutting her hair this way. It was always, always getting in her way.
"Hmm, I think I may have to join you when you do decide to cause some chaos."
Jisa answered, as if she was actually considering it. Heck no she wasn't considering it, it was a promise. Some trouble could be fun. If life wasn't ever going to be normal, then why not make it more exciting? It was pure logic to Jisa. Something landed with a wet squelch somewhere along the bank. Jisa caught a glance at the soaked black converse that Leah had thrown to the muddy bank. If there was anything Jisa hated, it was wetness. Catching the annoyance in Leah's tone about the shoes, Jisa kept back a smile. Huh. Keeping back a smile? That was a new one. Leah's next question got a shrug in return.
"I've got many stories that have taken place between the first time we met and now. Too many to tell, but I'm here- and I'm alive."
Jisa tilted her head at Leah and narrowed her eyes.
"So what've you been up to?"
She paused for a second before grinning and adding a small phrase.
"What? Is Wolf-Boy gonna show up now? Might as well have a family reunion while we're at it."

the pale colored shifter vampire calmly flickered her unusual eyes from Jisa, and let them land on the shoes that look like something snagged from a dump. she suddenly felt slightly self conscious for having such things, but at least they were better than nothing. Leah heard a soft snort and looked back over at Jisa, wondering if she was making fun of her rugged, older shoes. but the other was smiling,, and she realised that Jisa was amused, not snorting at her shoes. as Jisa replied, she couldn't help but give a laugh.
" oh, and now you're my partner in crime?" she commented back, her tone open yet it also had a mysterious note to it. " you seem to be considering it.. oh, and it's free unless you get caught, then i'd had to kidnap you.. " she laughed, amused by their conversation already. how entertaining a conversation with someone you had not really known a while back was now joking around with you and acting like they did this every time they met a long lost friend. frfom the corner of her eyes, she caught the panther shifter shrugging while she blew a side bang out of her face. she allowed a smirk on her face after Jisa finished. " at least you're alive.. you vanished, didn't you? " she murmured as she bent, crouching and picked up the sopping shoes and snorted at them before she pulled some sort of cloth from her jean's pocket and back wiping the mud away.
she looked at to met Jisa's eye. Leah raised her eyebrows slightly, an open invitation to ask whatever she wanted. the question didn't surprise her as she looked back down at the shoes before dumping them back in the green upon the ground, tossing the rag type thing with them. " that's quite something i thought you would ask, " she muttered, a smirk on her face now. she couldn't help but laugh when Jisa asked about Fang, wondering if he would come along and they all would have a family reunion. " i don't know where Fang, or Wolf-Boy as you prefer to call him, is.. haven't seen him since we where chased by a certain rebelious mob.. " there was a hinting tone, yet it was also amused as Leah smiled at the memory. " possibly, if we ever find him, we could kidnap him and have our family reunion then, " she said, chuckling at the thought. good times, good times.

Jisa was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable everything was around Leah. It was very, very strange. Jisa chuckled quietly at Leah's comment on being partner's in crime. Jisa pulled at the sleeves of her sweater so that they came past her wrists a little more. Usually, slight chills in the air didn't bother Jisa much- but they had more and more lately. Raising her eyebrows at the part about getting caught, Jisa answered.
"Ah, it's not likely that I do get caught but if so- I find my way out."
Jisa flashed a smile to show she hadn't taken it offensively. Deciding that standing was overrated, she moved to a dry patch of grass in the sun and sat down, tucking her knees in and leaning back on her hands.
