I gave a short laugh and grinned slyly. "Someone has to put them in their place, right? Can't let them get too big headed about themselves." I put my arms behind my head and gave one final stretch. I walked after Jisa as she settled herself on a couch and myself on a chair, folding my legs underneath me. I noticed that Anya, going up the stairs, had left and Jisa seemed a little relieved. Hum, me she could deal with younger people she could not. "So you do know Anya? I wasn't sure what to make of her until she said your name." I pondered. I brushed a stray lock of brown hair out of my eyes.

Ash's cocky answer made Jisa nod solemnly in response. You can count on a Supernatural to put EF in their place can't you? The voice taunted her. Biting her lip, Jisa almost scowled. Yup. A Shifter had put her in her place. That's why she was here. After Ash had settled herself down, the dark haired Shifter listened to her question. Nodding Jisa took a deep breath.
"Not so much that I know her as I knew her mom. Last time I saw Anya she was only learning to walk."
It seemed so long ago, when she was eighteen years old. In fact it was her birthday that Anya had been born. The similarities were beginning to be a little unnerving. Blue eyes, dark hair, same birthday, orphan and thirteen. It was very strange indeed. It was only now that Jisa felt that all of her past life was gone. Only Anya was left of it. Everyone else had simply disappeared, as she had not too long ago.
"It's definitely hard to identify someone like her, being such a mix of supernatural. Did you notice her scent? All predator but she's not just a Shifter."
Jisa knew all too well what she truly was.

I listened to Jisa. Sound as if she hadn't seen Anya for a long time. Must have really been a shock to see her all grown up, in a way, when she walked through the door. Though I thought a little about Anya and Jisa. They sure did look alike. Both had dark hair, though Jisa's was black. Both had blue eyes, but Jisa's were harder and colder as I noticed before. They probably had more in common than I would ever know. Or care to know. They were both probably like puzzles that have missing pieces to them. So you can never see the true picture. "I did. A little shifter...vampire maybe, hard to tell with them. I've met a vampire before." I replied. "Though she seems like a smart girl with her wits about her. A little quiet." Like someone else we know. I held my tongue. Train your mind to keep thoughts as thoughts, Jisa once said. So I did just that. I sure do get a lot of good advice from her. But do you always follow it? That nagging voice popped up. Um... I didn't swat it away as I usually did. It gave me something to think about.

Normally Jisa would be happy to stay on the subject of Anya and explain to Ash the how's and why's of Anya and Jisa's past. However, something troublesome nagged at the back of Jisa's mind. In fact, all of it could just be coincidental but nothing in a Supernaturals world seemed to happen by chance. The dark-haired shifter nodded absentmindedly, Ash was partially right to Anya's species.
"She's also part human. Her father was part of the EF. Aggravating man he was."
For now, Jisa was okay with talking about the past to Ash. Especially when the future wasn't exactly guaranteed. Not anymore. Frowning slightly, Jisa remembered that long time ago when she had to stay in the house with Kesiah- the girl who hated her most, and was so sickly in love. When she'd had to stay in a house with a Hunter, his sister, her boyfriend and a pregnant Stella.

"EF? Then how..." I shook my head. It's just like your theory with Jisa. I swatted that thought away quickly. I didn't want to brood over it again. "Never mind. I would bet. Most EF cops are." Anya was quite the mix. No wonder I couldn't really scent her out. Not like I could Jisa or most other Supernaturals. Jisa seemed happy to talk about what went on in her past for now. Little bits of that puzzle were making themselves shown and I was picking them up, trying to see where all this fit. "So now what? You and me aren't exactly the best baby-sitters." I was half teasing half serious. We weren't. We both wandered off by ourselves for how ever long. Anya couldn't do that could she? I knew myself that there was plenty of danger out there for a Supernatural, and Jisa, I was sure, was more than aware. I growled under my breath. Did Jisa feel this way about me? Responsible for me in some way? Kinda like I was starting to feel for Anya, even though I hardly knew the girl?

Jisa felt Ash's momentary hesitation in her question, and then the girl quickly brushed it away. Sometimes, the tall shifter wondered what people were thinking. When Ash agreed with how EF Hunter's were, Jisa smiled and shook her head. Conall was definitely a lot more irritating than most Hunters. Or maybe it seemed he was because of the fact that Jisa had been stuck in a house with him until Stella did see sense and left him. Jisa chuckled at Ash's 'now what?' question. Patience didn't often come in those new to the Supernatural side of life or to younger people.
"Not that you know of."
Jisa mused, she had taken care of Anya as a baby for like a month. Anyway, Anya had been left alone many times. She was more mentally developed than she was physically.
"Anya can take care of herself for the most part. Not as much as you and I, but she can."
Watching Ash's face, she saw the- growling?- grimace that showed her unease. A smile broke across Jisa's face as she reached to reassure the younger girl that it wasn't that bad.
"It's not as bad as you think. Trust me."
The smile faded from Jisa's face as she thought. Definitely not as bad as what's been going on lately. That reminded her... but was it worth worrying Ash over now?

"You mean you have?" It was my turn to raise an eyebrow. Huh. Never thought Jisa as a person to do that. Then again, Jisa was always surprising me with little things. "I'm sure she can. Nope, I don't think she want's to deal with the EF like we do." Though I did get myself in trouble with them on a regular basis. It was...my kind of fun, you could say. I watched Jisa, she was smiling. Apparently she was amused with my growling. Yeah well your not exactly the one that should be growling. Your the prey and Jisa's the predator. Prey doesn't usually growl. Jisa was trying to reassure me, maybe that was also part of this smile. "Or is it? I'll trust you, don't worry about that. Your the one who knows best." I replied seriously. I had to have someone that I could trust and that was Jisa. She was the only person I had steady contact with...unless you count insane lady. Beside Jisa did know what was best. At least I hope so. I was confident she did. After all she wasn't the one who provoked the EF ever chance she got. Nope that was my job.

Jisa, for the most part, kept her mouth closed so that Ash could rant a little. In fact, the tall Shifter couldn't wipe the amused smirk off of her face. That was definitely a first. At Ash's question, Jisa shrugged, because she didn't know if it could be that bad. And something had to be done about Ash and her tendency to run into the same EF Hunter seemingly everyday. Jisa's smile faded and then widened.
"You better hope so, or there could be some issues."
She seemed like she was joking, glittering blue eyes and all. But not even those who knew her best could guess just how seriously she meant that. With that, she stood and left the room, and the house. The shadows shrouded her as she disappeared into the night.
