You’re Gonna Wish You N e v e r h a d m e t M e
Don’t even ask how I ended up here, in the Black Cat, in a sleeveless black dress that ended slightly above my knee, a leather jacket and black combat boots. Honestly, I don’t know how it happened either. Actually that’s a lie. It’s all part of the act to look beautiful and dangerous at the same time. People are more willing to give up information that way. It’s not as if there’s a newspaper talking about the rivalry between the Humans and the Supernaturals.
If only.
So no matter how I looked, or whose side I was on, this was purely business. My nose wrinkled at the thought that it could be anything but that. Ugh. My skin felt wrong on my bones, a feeling I’d recently gotten used to. However, tonight it was slightly worse. Alright so I can handle blood, violence and near death experiences but dresses? No.
Don’t ask okay?
My tall frame stood in the dark corner in the back of the club- not that even that could hide a tanned, six foot two, blue eyed nineteen year old. I felt so much older. Fleeting glances met my hellion eyes, but never for more than a second. It stunk of alcohol and human bodies in here. Yuck. Not a nice smell. My arms crossed over my chest as I leaned back and bent my leg to the wall. Who was brave enough to approach me?
No one.
Not like I’d expect much more but, hey, I could stand to be corrected at least once in my life… right? Ha. The strobe lights were seriously bugging my vision, though not as much as usual. All of this… difference in me was slightly worrying. If those experiments had long term effects… well I didn’t want to think about it.

Hands shoved deep into the pockets of the red hoddie she was wearing, shoulders slumped Jane stalked into the bar.
The week had gone bad, no scratch that the whole blasted month, and she was hear for a drink. Well dressed, or rather well dressed for a sleazy bar, members of the public swirled around her, eyes raised at the lack of leather and amount of clothes she was wearing. She admitted that maybe coming into the bar in her old red hoddie, faded jeans, a over large t-shirt with a tiger on it and her battered red converses was not exactly ‘bar style’ clothes, but Jane ignored them. She was here to get as drunk as you possible could on $56 before she had to go back to her stingy apartment and discuss with the land owner about this thing called “rent”. So on whole clothes didn’t matter that much in the scale of things.
blasted supernatural’s and their ability to hide! she hadn’t found any in months and that meant no money, and no money meant the rent not being paid, and the rent not being pad meant.... Jane growled and shoved her way to the bar. The stupid thing was full, chattering idiots of various genders sat at it, waving drinks and arms around, only one stool was left, stuck between a twit dressed in a sparkly black dress and heels, and a, a really angry looking youngest in combat boots.
Claiming the seat as her own Jane sat on it, groaned when she realised some idiot had spilt his drink on it and then decided she didn’t care. Waving her arm in the air she did her best to catch the bar keepers attention. cheapest you’ve got she spat out when the man finally lumbered over to her end of the bar.

The thing is, when everyone’s all glamoured up, you really do stand out when you’re wearing a red hoodie. I watched the older, most likely grumpy, walk into the bar. Wasn’t she someone I had met before? Oh right. Lost EF woman. Would it do to talk to her? It’d be strange… Cheapest you got… Was what the Hunter had spat at the bar tender. Ooh. Someone was in a bad mood. Best not bother her then, right?
Wrong.
It was perfect when people were angry. They made stupid mistakes and gave away secrets they shouldn’t. Why didn’t I know much about what the EF were doing at the moment? Well I worked for them but since I was still sort of unstable with the loyalties… I wasn’t granted any access to plans. Oh the inconvenience. Whatever. I flicked long black hair out of my eyes and pushed away from the wall, sliding into the seat next to the hunter.
“Water please.”
I asked, further more polite than this furious woman. No, I don’t drink, it messes with your head and I prefer to make bad decisions with my mind unconfused, thank you. I turned my head to look at this Hunter. There was no real way to make a conversation up in this situation, so I went for the blunt approach. As if that wasn’t expected.
“Hey hunter.”
My blue eyes rested on the drink placed in front of me, in this type of noise and level of rowdiness, no one would be given away- yet.

No there ain't no rest for the wicked ~Until we close our eyes for good~ Jane stared at the drink the bar tender put down in front of her miserably Well I did ask for the cheapest she thought glumly taking a sip and grimacing.
Water please
Jane turned her head slightly and looked at the woman, incredulous. she’s in a bar, ordering water?! What is wrong with the world? shaking her head Jane took another sip of the horrible brew she’d received.
Hey hunter
Yeah, What of it? Jane replied her voice like cold steel, she’d come here to get drunk and now some retard who drank water in a bar was trying to talk to her. She really should have answered with something like “who me?” or “what’s a hunter you idiot?” But that would have been subtle and smart, and Jane was about as subtle as a sledge hammer, on a good day.
Today was not a good day.
Today she was about as subtle as a tank that has blown a hole in your wall and knocked your dinner off the table with the after blast.
She took another sip, the cheap beer was cool in her mouth. Like the taste of air before rain.

You’re Gonna Wish You N e v e r h a d m e t M e
Jisa’s eyebrows rose in amusement at the Hunter’s bad choice in drink. Some people may think it was odd to come to a bar and order water, but Jisa would rather keep all of her brain cells, and anyway no point being dehydrated, right? This hunter was obviously not in a very good place right now, she looked rugged and stressed. All the supernaturals had seemed to have disappeared in this hotspot of a town.
”Oh, nothing just thought you needed a bit of a hand. Seeing as you look a little put out of a job.”
Jisa shrugged, her hell blue eyes glinting as she swivelled back to face the bar, her elbows on the counter. Curiosity killed the cat… She thought gently to herself, although both this Hunter and this Shifter were the cat’s in this case. What you do for information… Yup, it was sad but perhaps worthwhile. Her mind flicked back to a Supernatural she had met a while back, a born trouble maker. One of the people to give Shifters their bad name, and then getting them killed. If anyone were going to be murdered, then that should be him.

No there ain't no rest for the wicked ~Until we close our eyes for good~ Jane glared at the women, eyes looking like storm clouds. help? Me she got a gob of spit ready to fling to the floor in disgust and then remembered that she was inside. Frowning in irritation she swallowed washing the fowl taste back with the slightly less foul beer. Na I’m not out of the job, plenty of killing. I’m fine she tried smiling in an attempt to make her words believable, it looked more like some idiot had just stabbed her in the foot. what business is it of yours anyway sticky beak? she asked, dropping the smile. Even Jane knew a hopeless battle when she saw one, and that smile was well on its way down.

Jisa’s eyebrows rose at the glare from this Hunter. Glares were too easily given these days, and so often that it barely mattered anymore. A look of amusement crossed Jisa’s face as the Hunter tried to seem as if business was good here. From experience, Jisa knew that it wasn’t. Shrugging, the Shifter got up and flicked her hair over her shoulder. Her amused smirk pushed through the barrier she had set.
”Really? I suppose that’s why there’s not a lot left for the rest of us.”
Her eyes flashed, distrusting the harsh words that had just left her own mouth. It might have been true but it was something Jisa had never hoped to say. It made her think about her killing streak three years back. Such a long time ago, and so many lives taken since then.
”Oh, it’s plenty of my business, Hunter. By the way, my name’s Jisa."
Perhaps it wasn’t smart to give a name away, but why not get the game rolling? It was all about gambling, life, wasn’t it? It sure seemed to be. It was a matter or time before Jisa lost a bet anyway.

No there ain't no rest for the wicked ~Until we close our eyes for good~ yeah that’d be it Jane muttered into the beer, eyes now looking down at the bench of the bar as if to set it on fire with the raw fury of the look she was giving it. Moving the cup she held in her hand in a circle and watched the beer swirl. Jane attempted to raise an eyebrow and failed Jisa huh? Bit of an odd name that Jane said raising her eyes from the swirling beer to look at the women’s face more clearly. It short for anything? she asked, frowning in thought. Jane was sure she’d heard the name somewhere before or maybe the face. Rubbing the back of her head in thought Jane took another sip, alcohol always seemed to hold the answer or something close enough.

You’re Gonna Wish You N e v e r h a d m e t M e
Jisa rolled her eyes at the Hunter who talked down to her drink. It was a lie anyway. As if anyone who wasn’t half dead wouldn’t notice that. The young hunter couldn’t help but be amused by the obviously gruff and confident woman. The older woman commented on Jisa’s name, attempting to maybe further the conversation. Although, she hadn’t offered her own. Jisa shrugged and reseated herself. It was true that her name was odd, but it as unique and that’s probably why it suited her so much. The nicest way to explain a person like Jisa is unusual and… unique.
”Short for Jisanna.”
Jisa answered, surprised by her own offering of her full name. What made her so readily answer these questions when, in fact, it was her who should be interrogating this infuriatingly stubborn hunter? Silently, she ground her teeth at her own stupidity. Time to turn the tables. Again, the music shorted that notion out, it was too hard to concentrate in this cheap place. Shaking her head, Jisa told herself that this is exactly why she didn’t drink.

No there ain't no rest for the wicked ~Until we close our eyes for good~ Jisanna Jane rolled the name around in her mind, whilst rolling beer in her mouth na, never heard of it before she admitted with a shrug. my name certainly isn’t as original as all that she said, genuinely attempting to make conversation, somebody who had enough ‘class’ to drink water in a bar was one of two things, a rich EF or a cocky supernatural. To Jane this was logical reasoning, to anybody else... so, you an EF to? Jane asked going in for her twisted version of the subtle approach, draining the dregs from the bottom of the beer glass she put it lightly on the bar. No point breaking a good beer glass by slamming it dramatically. don’t think I’ll be having another one of those any time soon Jane muttered leaning toward the bar to see if they had some kind of price list.
