He is broad-chested, but his face is fine-boned, with high cheeks and a long nose. his eyes have an unforgiving glint to them. his clothes are simple, peasant's clothes, and around his neck he wears a wood carved necklace that his brother made for him a long time ago.
Personality: John has grown cold from the years, his face has become stony and stoic, and he has lost the jocose quality that defines his brother and, in fact, defines his family. He is harsh, unforgiving, and relentless in his duties as a member of the Elite Forces, a fighter and killer of supernaturals. He seems to care about nothing but. He's introverted because he doesn't trust anyone, and a bit paranoid because he thinks that practically everyone is a supernatural. Left to his own devices, John would be a happy-go-lucky fellow, with a lot of life to live, but as it is he has grown almost icy. He hates to be touched, and he's always looking over his shoulder because a huge weight is hanging there. He fears and loves his brother, but considers the real Maxwell Westerfield lost to the world.
History: He was born in the countryside, two years younger than his brother, Maxwell. His early life was pretty easy - he lived on a small farm and was expected to work, but they were fairly good years all said and done. His parents were not so much in love as tolerant of one another, but this never affected him or his brother. When he was seventeen, however, everything changed. Him and his brother were out for a late-night adventure through the woods five miles from their house when Mac was attacked by, of all things, a crazed Mountain Lion. John was able to fend off and kill the creature, but his brother had sustained permanent damage. It was thought that he would die... until he, too, began to transform into a puma. Maxwell was forced to leave home, condemned by his family - except John, who wanted him to stay - and into the wilderness. Since that day, John was determined to destroy the supernaturals who had done this to his best friend, his brother, and so he trained to become one of the Elite Forces. Now he is in Clearstone, not knowing that Mac is closer than he thinks...
