Appearance: Mac is a big guy. He's stockier than John, at 5' 10" in height and heavy-set. His complexion is naturally more sanguine, ruddier and darker, and he is definitely bigger all around than John. With a shock of short, deep ginger hair, sun-bleached eyebrows, and sharp blue eyes, he's unmistakeable even in human form. A made shifter, not a born one, he is trapped in perpetual adolescence... and he doesn't like it too much. In half-way form, his hair lightens, his ears become more rounded, his fingernails sharpen, and his eyes become a more almond-shaped. But all in all it's not that dramatic. As a cougar, he's pretty typical, with light gingery gold fur, a light belly, and tell-tale black markings on the face, toes, and tail. Noteably, he has a faint white scar across his nose, extending along the ridge above his eye, three lines like claws, but it's hardly noticeable in some lights.
Personality: Mac is a fun loving, extroverted, warm hearted kind of guy despite everything that he's been through. He loves to talk and does so often. He's got a big personality... and a bit of a big ego - he does talk the talk, but he doesn't always walk the walk. He likes to scrap a bit, and gets into trouble sometimes, but for the most part he's a goodhearted teenager with a little recklessness on the side. He's mischievous, with an eye for a good adventure, and tends to rush headlong into things without thinking them through. He also has a silver tongue, and he can be pretty convincing when he wants to be.
History: Born on a small farm with his younger brother John, Mac's early years were happy enough. He was always the more reckless of the two siblings, fighting with the other neighborhood boys, getting into a heap of trouble. But he always looked out for young John, and was his best friend and worst enemy all rolled into one. It was Mac's idea to go on the night chase that led to his being attacked by a crazed, terrified Shifter, and to Mac's eventual transformation. When he first turned into a cougar, his parents drove him out and he lived on the edges of the farm for a time before they started shooting at him to stay away and laying traps. He fled, and wound up in Clearstone, where he's lived since.
